Our house policies

For those of you who are regulars and know how proud we are to be different, skip these paragraphs.

Reservations are highly recommended in advance by calling 732.510.7700 or online reservations through Opentable. Please contact us for parties of 8 guests or more and we will do our best to accommodate you. Le Malt does not aim at being a hot spot or a passing trend, so do not take this reservation policy as a sign of attitude; we just like to give the drinks a chance to be fully appreciated. There is no reason why sipping a fine bourbon should be any different from having a great meal in an upscale restaurant.

As we are not a sports bar, please avoid using loud and/or vulgar language and, though it does prove a challenge in our romantic setting, keep public displays of affection within the bounds of good taste.

Le Malt is a mature place for mature people that have a strong grasp on civilized entertainment and knowing that alcohol has devastating effects on the youth, we set the minimum drinking age at 25 years old.

Though we understand New Jersey traffic, we will hold reservations for up to 20 minutes. Past this time-frame, we cannot guarantee your reservation.

Le Malt has no "dress code", however, smart casual is always a great choice. One does not need to wear a Tuxedo or even a suit and tie to patronize, but this is not carte blanche to any sort of attire: We will turn away anyone whose outfit is disrespectful or insulting in any way. We keep a coat check facility on premise to help you unwind at your ease and sit comfortably without having to worry about a wrinkled trench coat or a damaged briefcase.

Generally speaking, all comments are truly welcome; you can even do so anonymously from this website.

Sincerely at your service!
