
Expeditor - Le Malt Lounge
Description
Coordinate activities between servers and kitchen personnel to ensure food orders are prepared and served exactly to specifications in a timely manner. Perform duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items, preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates, and preparing salads and desserts. Acts as the key communication link between the front-of-house staff, the back-of-house team, and management to ensure smooth delivery of meals.
Requirements and Skills
Minimum of 1 year of expediting, preferred in upscale or high-end restaurants but not required
Experience with testing foods and observing to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils or thermocouples.
Able to follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Able to assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs.
